Project Description

The project, being made for females in the UK was supposed to serve as a safe space to talk about haressment and assault at home and schools/colleges. Owing to the sensitivity of the matter, the design's entire focus was on stealth and it served as a calculator for someone who did not know the pin to access the app. This entire design was implemented in React Native to serve multiple platforms using a single codebase. The database in Postgres which was maintained using Strapi, a content management service with the capability of building custom APIs in Node.js as a backend.

The Hopeful Home product was envisioned by four girls in their final year of school in the UK. They wanted a safe place for girls their age to talk about harassment and assault at home and school/college. Our role was to mentor them and develop the idea into a product.

Knowing the sensitivity of the subject, the Hopeful Home app has been designed to work in stealth. The app opens and works as a calculator. Only after the specific interactions, the main application is revealed.
